    About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill a Project Engineer in the Construction Branch at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction and engineering, quality management, competency in computer applications, able to work independently, able to work in project teams, and have great interpersonal and communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • You will serve as a Project Engineer/Architect in support of Civil Works projects; Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste projects, and Military Construction Sites. Such duties will include:
    • Quality Assurance Construction Surveillance: review QC control plans; assess contractor performance.
    • Construction Management: perform planning, design, construction and operation tasks; prepare project management plans and changes to scope, schedule and budget.
    • Field Engineering: perform site investigations; solve engineering problems encountered in the field.
