Program Support Assistant / PD#: 44175-0
The incumbent is an Assistant Program Coordinator for the medical equipment distribution program.
Provides national support in areas of logistics, contracts, financial, and cataloging for medical distribution programs. Responsible for coordinating actions with the appropriate program office, organizational staff, management personnel, and/or internal and external customers in support of these programs. Manages daily work flow and provides guidance for complex issues to the warehouse, Quality Assurance Specialist and the Program Coordinator. Acts as the national point of contact for the SDC to the customer in relation to the medical equipment distribution. Works closely with the DLC Veteran Services Division (VSD) as the point of contact on medical product distribution issues including reconciling orders placed with manufacturers, patient safety issues and policies, vendor contract issues and orders received by clinics. Ensures quality and customer satisfaction by monitoring, tracking, and analyzing customer complaints to determine the best course of action to correct deficiencies and or processes. Is a primary participant in the development and quality of the medical equipment distribution automation processes including equipment order processing, order rejection processing, equipment tracking, program reports; proper fund control point platform changes, contract modifications, peripheral changes, timeliness, equipment refurbishment, warranty management and platform recycle processes. Responsible for the development and monitoring of all customer notifications including national notifications of contract modifications, addition/deletion of platforms, peripherals, and accessories, system procedure changes, and changes or modifications to ordering process and reports.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The subject position is primarily of an administrative nature in an office setting, however where travel to work sites is required there may be light physical work required, such as walking over uneven surfaces, or assisting technical personnel in taking measurements or elevations.
