The incumbent reports to the Executive Secretary of the Interdepartment Radio Advisory Committee (IRAC). Supports the National Telecommunications and Information Administration spectrum management activities and functions including the National Table of Frequency Allocations and various frequency assignment plans, and rules and procedures for spectrum management outlined in the Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management
The individuals selected for this position will perform the following duties:

To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must have one year or 52 weeks of experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrating experience with national and international spectrum regulations and policies; experience with drafting and editing telecommunication documents, archive documents, and using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and document management tools.
-Or – successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree -or- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree -or- LL.M., if related
-Or – have equivalent combinations of education and experience that may be combined to meet the total qualification requirement. (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS)
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year or 52 weeks of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrating experience with national and international spectrum regulations and policies; experience with drafting and editing telecommunication documents, archiving documents, using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and document management tools; and experience with implementing Federal Agencies telecommunications policies, processes and procedures.
No substitution of education for experience is permitted for GS-12.
