    Temporary positions not-to-exceed 1039 regular hours in a service year may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs.

    The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is April 29 through August 31, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 29, 2019

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as the Audio Engineer and Stage Manager for Theater in the Woods and for Pre-Performance.
    • Previews and other interpretive programming.
    • Operates professional level sound equipment.
    • Advises on capabilities of sound equipment.
    • Sets up sound equipment.
    • Takes down sound equipment.
    • Ensures that sound equipment is in proper working order.
    • Provides instruction on sound equipment to visiting performers and staff.
    • Ensures proper sound levels for performances and events.
    • Submits technical reports on status of audio equipment.
