    Responsibilities

    This position starts at a salary of $68,036.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $148,967.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $148,967(GS-14, Step 10).

    In this position, you will become a key member of the legal team for The Office of The Chief Counsel. Typical work assignments include:

    - Providing assistance to Department of Justice attorneys representing the agency in employment and labor law actions;
    - Providing legal review and advice about employee conduct standards, investigations of misconduct, proposed disciplinary actions, and investigations of equal employment discrimination complaints;
    - Reviewing and/or drafting proposed regulations and policy issuances concerning personnel, employment, and labor relations matters;
    - Providing advice and training in the legal aspects of personnel, employment and labor law with emphasis on postemployment conflicts of interest, third party administrative proceedings, equal employment opportunity law, and Federal sector labor management relations law.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may/will be required to travel frequently on both domestic and foreign Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments.
