    About the Position: Serves as Soldier Portfolio Director with the authority on Soldier technology Science and Technology decisions applicable to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) mission and requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the AFC authority on Soldier Science and Technology decisions applicable to the CTO mission and requirements.
    • Reviews progress and technical reports on working projects, provide significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs.
    • Establish and maintain key partnerships to reduce duplication of effort with industry and other government agencies to foster the utilization and understanding of soldier technology investments.
    • Advises on new approaches to scientific problems; and determines the extent to which objectives are accomplished and if changes are necessary.
    • Maintains liaison with scientific and technical personnel in other laboratories, universities, industrial concerns, and foreign countries for the purpose of exchanging technical information and ideas and to establish collaborations on projects.
