The incumbent will serve as the senior level advisor for OASH Regional Operations (RO) with the HHS OPDIV senior leadership in the development of policy recommendations on population-based public health issues and coordination of public health initiatives across HHS.
The DASH (RO) will participate in developing OASH and HHS prevention initiatives, ensuring regional offices (ROs) are incorporated into planning and implementation.
Provides senior level leadership in representing the Regional Health Administrators (RHAs) and OASH ROs within the OASH Immediate Office and program offices, with regular communication with the ASH.
The DASH (RO) participates in OASH strategic and budget planning to ensure ROs are best utilized.
Work with RHAs to translate HHS and OASH leadership priorities into consistent actionable RO agendas and work plans, with tailoring by region as needed and align ROs priorities with OASH Immediate Office and program offices. The DASH (RO) will create and evaluate performance measures for each RO on implementation of plans.
Serve as the senior level representative of the OASH ROs to public health stakeholders and partners and as an extension of the ASH and OASH programs, in implementing HHS and OASH public health priorities.
Develops consistent performance measures across ROs and is accountable for RO activities. Evaluates RO accomplishments and ensures completion of RO activities. Approves the RO weekly reports sent to the ASH and the Secretary.
