    You will serve as a Human Resource Specialist (Employee Benefits) in the Total Force Management Program Office (N1), Manpower and Personnel Programs (N11), Human Resources Office (HRO) (N112), Labor/Employee Relations and Services, Division (N112A), Work Life/Services Branch (N112A3),MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

    • You will coordinate investigation of employees injury in order to develop and prepare a written explanation of disagreement if any with the employee information revealed during processing of claim/request.
    • You will be responsible for providing employee/management advisory services on the full range of Federal leave policies and programs.
    • You will coordinate civilian mariner death claims to include acting as a liaison with physicians, family members, Office of Personnel Management, etc.
    • You will oversee the development and maintenance of records, including automated data regarding costs, status, etc.
    • You will provide assistance to managers and employees on DON procedures for reviewing, monitoring, and contacting the Civilian Benefits Center on CSRS, FERS, TSP, FEHB, FEGLI, post-1956 military service deposits, and other available Federal benefits.
    • You will be responsible for administering various aspects of the Federal Employee Compensation Act (FECA) and Office of Workman's Compensation Program (OWCP).
    • You will provide initial counseling to employee upon request prior to referral to the counseling service.
