Managing or overseeing a variety of duties related to the implementation of long-term IT projects including: identifying customer needs and requirements; analyzing systems requirements and environments; ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures. Supports the work of contracting officers and acquisitions staff, directs the work of project team members and contracted employees, ensures quality and technical requirements are met. Identify standards and requirements for infrastructure configuration or enterprise architecture change management; designing and implementing information system security plans and procedures; ensuring appropriate product-related training and documentation are developed and made available to customers. Provides recommendations and advice to senior management officials on IT solutions critical to organizational functions.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $96,970.00 per year.

To qualify, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the following four competencies AND one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described below:
IT SPECIALIST COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized experience is experience managing information technology (IT) projects that include the following: identifying customer needs/requirements and translating into technical IT solution requirements; analyzing, planning, reviewing and developing information technology systems and major changes to existing systems and databases; developing and managing major IT project plans/proposals to completion; and troubleshooting and problem solving to find workable solutions to unique IT related issues.
