    Serve as an Auditor of the commander of assigned headquarters organization overseeing the command accounting, financial, and managerial issues that require examination by financial professionals.

    You will perform the following duties:

    • Initiates and coordinates audits that typically involve complex highly integrated accounting and operational problems. Audits generally address technical problems such as system integrity, adequacy of service and compliance with standard accounting principles as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Performs a variety of audits that are usually without precedent and require the use of advanced auditing techniques in gathering and evaluating pertinent data in accordance with Government Auditing Standards, including writing audit programs, conducting fieldwork, preparing working papers, and drafting audit reports.
    • Interprets policies and procedures generated by higher headquarters to include implications of immediate-and long-range management activities, plans and decisions.
    • Serves as the command representative and point of contact for external agencies regarding their audits and reviews. Keeps Command Group and appropriate unit/staff section chiefs informed of status of findings of internal and external audits.

    25% or less - Up to 25% business travel required.
