This position is being filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions in accordance with 10 USC § 1705(g).
ATEC plans and integrates developmental testing, independent operational testing, independent evaluations, assessments, and experiments to provide essential information to Soldiers and into the hands of acquisition decision makers supporting the American Warfighter.
Acquisition Demonstration Project position: The NH-03 broadband incorporates former GS-12 step 1 through GS-13 step 10 grade levels and salary levels. Pay increase within the band will be accomplished through the Contribution-based Compensation and Appraisal System (CCAS). Info about the AcqDemo can be found at http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/ops/acqdemo.html. ?ATEC uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $126,062.00.
This position leads and facilitates ATEC's test and evaluation efforts for systems within the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, (C4) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) (C4ISR) portfolios. The C4ISR Evaluation Directorate (C4ISRED) serves as the AEC focal point with overall management responsibility for developmental testing (DT) and system evaluations (effectiveness, suitability, survivability, and safety) of materiel systems and associated software in the following areas: mission command and integration systems, subsystems and components; network systems, subsystems and components; information and enterprise systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning and medical IT systems, databases and software; ISR - Air/Space systems, subsystems and components; ISR - Ground/Fusion systems, subsystems and components; and intelligence electronic warfare systems, subsystems and components. Positions at this level work independently under general supervision. Assignments are received in terms of broad, general objectives with some direction provided when controversial or unusual circumstances are involved. Work is reviewed for conformance to policy and achievement of objectives.
