Work Requirements:
Physical Effort: Work requires heavy physical exertion such as frequent climbing of ladders or scaffolds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas and lifting and carrying of heavy objects weighing up to 20 and occasionally weighing up to 40 pounds.
This position requires a LOW RISK/NON-SENSITIVE CLEARANCE. Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position.

You must have the ability to perform the duties of an Electrician WG-10 without more than normal supervision (Screen-Out). Applicants who do not meet the SCREEN OUT ELEMENT will not be given further consideration.
Applicants who do not meet the screen-out factors will be rated ineligible and will receive no further consideration. Points will be based on experience and training which are documented on your resume as well as the responses to the vacancy questions. All applicants must receive a raw score of 2.0 or above on the screen-out factor and an average of 2.0 or above on all the job elements in order to be considered minimally qualified for the position(s) being filled. The raw scores that meet these criteria are then translated to a scale (70 to 100).
The screen-out factor for this position is: Ability to perform the duties of the Electrician position without more than normal supervision by independently performing tasks such as: servicing wiring systems, disassembly and assembly work, installing brackets, shelves and racks, removing and replacing controls and fixtures, and repairing wiring in commercial buildings. - FAILURE TO MEET THIS SCREEN OUT ELEMENT WILL RESULT IN AN INELIGIBLE RATING.
Applicants who rated satisfactory on the screen-out factor will be rated on these remaining job elements. Ensuring tasks are completed timely and accurately. Knowledge of technical trade standards and instructions, such as the National Electrical Code, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering sketches. Ability to inspect building wiring systems and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment.
