    Summary

    You will serve as the Civilian Mariner Management Program Officer in the Total Force Management Program Office of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

    Responsibilities

    • You will serve as the principal advisor to the Director, Total Force Management in all matters relating to the civil service mariner placement.
    • You will direct the overall planning, development, implementation and execution of programs for strategic current and long-term mariner requirements planning.
    • You will establish mariner management procedures and processes and implements policies for a 5,500-person mariner workforce to include Ship Captains and Chief Engineers.
    • You will supervise and direct subordinate supervisors in the establishment of goals and objectives, work planning and organization, work assignments, and personnel management responsibilities.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - 10% travel to field organizations and periodic short visits to ships is required.
