    Summary

    This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

    You will serve as the Lead Systems Engineer for the Vehicle Evaluation Program in the Undersea Systems Analysis Branch (Code 8543), within the Undersea Defense and Intelligence Support Systems Division, of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport.

    Responsibilities

    • You will provide overall technical direction for both hardware and software analysis and all systems engineering functions within the Undersea Systems Branch.
    • You will evaluate the performance of state-of-the-art foreign and domestic ASW systems.
    • You will lead a technical team that performs analysis, development, and test and evaluation in support of customers such as the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and the Undersea Warfare Chief Technology Office (NAVSEA 073).
    • You will coordinate NUWCDIVNPT activities associated with development, testing, assessment, production and fielding of assigned projects.
    • You will optimize rigorous systems engineering processes in the evaluation, testing, modeling and simulation of threat systems.
    • You will seek solutions to challenging obstacles that accompany complex underwater environments associated with vehicle, sensor and weapon systems.
