    This position is located with Bureau of Indian Affairs in Phoenix, Arizona. The Incumbent functions as the Regional Safety of Dams Engineer planning, coordinating, trust resources of dam safety and floodplain management.

    Responsibilities

    Provides engineering oversight and guidance related to design, construction, operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of dams. In addition incumbent will monitor federally funded constructions projects within the Regional reservations assuring compliance with federal management mandates, laws, regulations, and executive orders and will serve as expert in design, construction, operation and maintenance to assure public safety below high and low hazard dams on Indian reservations.
