    Summary

    This position is located in the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy (OCIP), Deputy Assistant Secretary, Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy, AS Financial Institutions-Policy, Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions, Under Secretary, Domestic Finance, Departmental Offices, Department of the Treasury, reporting to the OCIP Director or one of his/her Deputies.

    Responsibilities

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-15. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

    • Prepare policy memos on cybersecurity for senior decision makers addressing key issues in the financial services sector, a Presidentially-designated national critical infrastructure.

    • Provide technical guidance and analysis on cybersecurity matters to inform leadership decision making by federal and private-sector senior officials as they pertain to the financial services sector.

    • Coordinate interagency and cross-sector working groups to advance Treasury’s cybersecurity goals and objectives with regard to protection of the nation’s financial services sector.

    • Coordinate with private sector representatives to identify, analyze, monitor, and address threats and vulnerabilities significant enough to impact the national economic security of the United States.
