Theses positions may be filled at the GS-04 or GS-05 level.
The salary range given above includes base pay and locality pay, you will receive a 3.74% cost of living allowance for Anchorage and Fairbanks, and 5.30% for Soldotna , Alaska. This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment and grade decrease.
As a Biological Science Technician (Fisheries), you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring salmon runs using fish weirs, Didson Sonar, and digital video equipment.
- Conducting abundance estimates of resident fish species.
- Documenting fish movement using radio telemetry.
- Sampling water quality.
- Performing fish habitat inventory.
