At the GS-11 level, the incumbent is given a variety of developmental assignments in order to broaden skills and provide experience for progressively more complex assignments. The incumbent continues to gain experience and to develop their knowledge, skill and abilities through the completion of more complex assignments and the exercise of increasing authority and responsibility. The incumbent will gradually assume all the duties and responsibilities of those described in the full performance position description for the Human Resources Specialist, GS-0201-12. The incumbent will work under limited supervision and as the incumbent progresses the amount of supervision will decrease. At such time as all regulatory,
qualifications, and time in grade requirements are met, and based upon the recommendations of the supervisor, the incumbent may be promoted to the GS-12.
Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
