    Responsibilities

    This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Operations, United States Marshals Service (USMS). The incumbent serves as a Special Assistant to the Director and serves in a confidential and personal nature.

    The incumbent is responsible for making decisions on behalf of the Director, related to protocol, security, and travel. Handling priority and urgent issues that may have indirect/direct impacts on the Director's ability to perform mission critical functions. Planning and coordinating protocol, security, and travel activities to ensure that the Director's responsibilities are efficiently and effectively carried out. Keeping the Director apprised and informed of outstanding commitments, decisions to be made, or actions to be taken.
