    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a protocol officer which assists the Commander in planning, managing and executing the organizations protocol program to include ceremonies, conferences, briefings, official and social functions, and high-level foreign and domestic visits.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and implements protocol policy and procedural guidance for the commander, Vice Commander, and other applicable personnel.
    • Concerning proper protocol requirements for visiting dignitaries, military ceremonies, conferences, official meetings, briefings, etc.
    • Serves as protocol advisor to the Commander.
    • Personally performs or arranges for others to meet and greet high ranking dignitaries upon their arrival and accompanies them through various phases of their visit.
    • Serves as custodian of the Special Morale and Welfare (SMW) Funds.
    • Assists in the management and training of the organizations protocol staff.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
