    About the Position: This position serves as Chief of the Engineering Division, Design Branch, responsible for project design to maintain, repair, alter/modify, and construct Army real property facilities and supervision of a multi-disciplined engineering organization. Position supervises a staff of approximately four engineers/architects and two engineering technicians. Responsible for the bridge inspection program, electrical distribution grid analysis, paving and roofing management programs.

    • Provide engineering and architectural analysis and management of a Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) system to record drawings and ensure quality and timely responses are provided for requests.
    • Conduct quality assurance through review of, and enforcing standards on, projects designed by staff and others.
    • Coordinate the design development of projects that typically involve multiple engineering disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and environmental to produce a uniform service and contract branch.
    • Provide engineering/architectural design plans, specifications, and cost estimates to contracting.
    • Assure provision of engineering and architectural analysis, including physical site investigation and documentation, of projects and building systems as requested by installation units.
    • Conduct full supervisory and personnel management functions.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Temporary Duty travel (TDY) will be up to 10 percent for training.
