    About the Position: Serves as Defense Travel Management Officer for Army Futures Command (AFC), with responsibility to analyze, interpret, formulate/coordinate, and implement per diem, travel, transportation policy in the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and providing Government travel and transportation advice and assistance Command wide.

    • Implement and monitor Defense Travel System (DTS) program to ensure continued successful operation.
    • Maintain database of user information and controls user access to Privacy Act information and travel documents.
    • Manage the Government Travel Card Program to ensure applications are processed properly and in a timely manner.
    • Oversee the Organizational Defense Travel Administrators, responsible for assisting travelers, Authorizing Officials, Certifying Officers, and Budget personnel.
    • Conduct special studies on the development or modification of policies, procedures, regulations involving per diem, travel and transportation allowances to resolve current travel problems or to improve the system of reimbursements/allowances.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel 25% for this position.
