    Summary

    The West Texas VA Health Care System is currently accepting applications for the position of Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at our 40 bed Community Living Center. As a LVN, you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured Veterans.

    Responsibilities

    The incumbent will provide basic nursing care to the patient as needed, supporting activities of daily living, and meeting the patient's physical, emotional, and comfort needs. They should be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and coworkers. The incumbent will responsible for administering medications to patients, as well as documenting the patient's care into a computerized patient record system (CPRS). The incumbent will also need to have the knowledge of age specific differences from the adult and older population. They must meet the needs of customers while supporting the VA mission.

    Work Schedule: Shift work with rotations as required and weekends and holidays
