The purpose of this position is to serve as an Administrative Support Specialist, reporting to Team Chiefs in the Office of Intelligence & Analysis, part of the Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.Learn more about this agency
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will:
- Reviewing and analyzing all papers (including reports, memoranda, briefing papers, and other papers of a substantive nature) submitted to management.
- Making travel arrangements for management.
- Drafting, typing, and preparing correspondence for signature of TFI and OIA leadership, ensuring that documents have correct punctuation, spelling, grammar, format and style.
- Making arrangements for meetings and conferences, including scheduling meetings and handling all logistics such as building access, clearance verification, conference room reservation, sending invitations, and escorting guests.
- Tracking and reviewing progress of assigned programs and correspondence and identifies and resolves related problems, assuring completion of assignments in keeping with the OIA’s Team Chiefs’ guidance, and presenting the views and opinions of OIA’s Team Chiefs and Leaders on office policy issues and administrative management.

- Planning and developing in support of administrative or operational aspects of a program; AND
- Providing recommendations for improvement; AND
- Drafting communications, including reports and briefings, for management.
OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
OR You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 2 years may be combined with experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year trial period may be required.
