As a Supervisory Instructional Systems Specialist, GS-1750-14, typical work assignments include:
BASIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: An undergraduate degree (Bachelors) or higher that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work of the position to be filled. The course work must have included study in at least four of the following five areas: learning theory, psychology of learning, or educational psychology; instructional design practices; educational evaluation; instructional product development; computers in education and training.
NOTE: You must submit copies (Unofficial copies are sufficient) of all your college transcripts at time of application to verify the education requirements are met. Graduates of foreign schools must have their academic credentials evaluated through a recognized credential evaluating institution.
GS-14: In addition to the basic eligibility requirement: Candidates must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
Examples of Specialized Experience for this grade level include: one year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 level of Federal service performing instructional systems design (including adult learning and distance-learning training strategies), and supervision.
