    About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Attorney-Advisor of the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC). Provides oversight of AFC business law and general law through individual discussions with senior attorneys and interactive staff meetings involving current cases and related issues, often presenting novel questions of legal policy, with implications of a precedent setting nature.

    • Provides advice, counsel, and instructions to employees on both work and administrative matters.
    • Supervises senior attorneys and paraprofessionals, exercising a broad scope of responsibilities in the areas of business law and policy considerations.
    • Keeps abreast of policy and program plans for the Command, facilitating the practice of preventive law, ensuring management is informed of the impact in changes or amendments to laws and regulations.
    • Provides oversight of a broad scope of responsibilities in the areas of general law. Legal issues addressed are routinely the most difficult handled by the office and are of significant Command interest.
    • Provides oversight of acquisition policy guidance, counsel, and support to AFC and subordinate activities.
    • Exercises an in-depth knowledge of Government contracting and fiscal law to advise senior leaders.
