    This position is located within the Geospatial Technology and Applications Center (GTAC) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Program Leader. This position provides program/project leadership, direction, advice and supervision to highly technical and professional staff.

    As a project management and technical advisor, provides advice and guidance to project leaders, and as a multidisciplinary geospatial project team supervisor. Actively applies geospatial intelligence with regard to forest health, forest management, post-fire restoration, active fire detection monitoring, and land use monitoring.

    Plans the work to be accomplished by the unit, assigns work to employees, and establishes production or quality standards for the unit’s work. Participates in preparation of annual and multi-year program and long range planning. Conducts studies determining program development needs. Prepares or assembles detailed project proposals and cost estimates.

    Demonstrates leadership in establishing and maintaining a work environment that is free from discrimination and creates a sense of inclusion and support for all employees in the workplace.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Occasional overnight travel may be required to attend meetings, training, and field visits.
