Performs maintenance and repair grounds, roads and trails, exterior structures, buildings, utility components, equipment and related utilities, campground, picnic areas and visitor center.
Performs carpentry repairs; painting using brushes and rollers; plumbing repairs such as tightening or replacing fittings and fixtures.
Collects trash and debris, cleans and services comfort stations, picnic areas, and visitor centers.
Uses hand and power tools.
Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments following established procedures.
Operates a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials.
Operates trucks up to 10,000 GVW.
Performs snow removal using a variety of motorized equipment and hand tools.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.
This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
Physical Demands: Works form ladders, scaffolds and platforms and where surfaces to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach that require incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside where dirt, spray, and fumes are present. Also required to work in inclement weather and/or wear protective equipment and clothing that are something heavy and uncomfortable.
