2. Must have professional and/or academic publication experience.
3. Must have a background in oral communication (e.g., rhetorical criticism, public speaking instruction, executive level speech writing) and/or professional speaking experience.
4. Must be adaptable and prepared to work collegially with an accomplished faculty and mature students functioning at the executive level.
Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.

This is a civilian faculty position at the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) as provided under Title 10, United States Code section 4021. The Professor of Communicative Arts will support the Center for Collaborative Education and Communication (CCEC) through multi-faceted faculty development efforts involving communication across all Schools, Centers and Institutes (S/C/I) while concurrently delivering formal and informal instruction on oral presentations and written documents to enrolled students. The CCEC functions under the authority of the Provost and operates at the professional, graduate level by sponsoring credit and non-credit instruction in traditional (face-to-face), blended, and online formats. Position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a desire to engage a dynamic population of mature, senior military professionals functioning at the executive level in a national security milieu. This is a term position, but reappointments are possible subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
