This position is located in the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Alaska Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Region, Office of Resource and Economic Analysis.
Major Duties
The Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for situational telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. Any travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee.
NOTE: Although payment of relocation is not authorized for this position, recruitment incentives may be authorized at the discretion of BOEM.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify for this position you must meet the (1) Basic Educational Requirements AND (2) Specialized Experience for the grade(s) to which you are applying.
The following minimum qualification requirements are required in order to qualify at the GS-13 grade level; applicants must meet A or B as defined below:
A. Degree: economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus.
-OR-
B. Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
**You are required to provide transcripts as proof of meeting the requirements.
2. Specialized Experience-GS-13:
To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience: (1) Use computer simulation models and probabilistic modeling techniques to estimate the net present value of oil and natural gas property; (2) Derive and perform analyses of capital, operating, transportation and regulatory costs of oil and natural gas activities; (3) Provide written and oral technical information to advise managers on economic policies; and (4) Provide assessments of the socioeconomic effects of oil and gas development.
