    You will serve as an EPIDEMIOLOGIST or LEAD EPIDEMIOLOGIST in the DEFENSE HEALTH AGENCY.

    Responsibilities

    • You will, as a Lead Epidemiologist / Epidemiologist, oversee program management and administrative duties for health surveillance activities of the DHA.
    • You will, as a Lead Epidemiologist / Epidemiologist, deliver lectures and briefings on epidemiologic and bio-statistical procedures in workshops, seminars, field training evolutions and technical courses for staff and customers.
    • You will compare outcome objectives for disease prevention and health promotion programs which will enable comparison with other applicable benchmarks.
    • You will identify critical outcome measures, both morbidity and mortality based, for the evaluation of the effectiveness of clinical services, medical management initiatives, disease prevention programs, and health promotion activities.
    • You will oversee and conduct epidemology studies in compliance with mission authorities (example vaccine safety).
    • You will oversee program funding for clinical studies, as well as business processes.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Travel is dependent upon position description and availability of funding.
