    These positions are located in Piscataway Park, in the Division of Visitor Services.These positions are responsible for collecting and accounting for fees, and interacting with visitors and disseminating information.

    Temporary appointment not-to-exceed one year but m­ay be extended each year without further competition, if you continue to meet the eligibility requirements under the Pathways Internship program and funding is available.

    Collects and accounts for fees.
    Operates electronic cash register.
    Performs mathematical calculations to make change during cash fee collection.
    Interacts with visitors and disseminates information.
    Resolves visitor complaints that are within their authority and refers complex matters to a supervisor.
    Provides information about recreational opportunities and events.
    Answers recurring visitor questions.
    Directs customers/visitors to services and facilities.
    Deals with a very high volume of personal contacts in a shift.
    Deals with visitors/customers who are difficult, hostile or distressed.
    Performs traffic control at park entrances and/or related locations.
    Serves as a member of a team during emergency situations, such as emergency medical response and/or finding a lost person in an outdoor park setting.
