As a Realty Specialist you will be responsible for management of a portfolio of leased properties, including historic residences, restaurants, and equestrian facilities, Rights of Way permits, encroachments, and third party permitted uses of National Park Service (NPS) lands. This position requires knowledge of a wide range of real estate principles, concepts and practices used in managing and maintaining federally controlled and owned real property. You will develop and oversee the implementation of plans related to facility preservation and maintenance, programming, health and safety, risk management, environmental sustainability, financial management, and other elements of lessee operations. You will participate in related park planning and administration in order to deliver appropriate and/or complementary services in the Park and to provide strategic, seamless management of lessees and facilities-based partnerships.

Physical Demands: The majority of work is performed indoors in an office setting. Normally, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work or walk reasonable distances. Physical review and familiarity with leased facilities is required and there may be some requirements for extended walking through facilities and carry of light items, however some file boxes may weigh 30 pounds. Mentally stressful and taxing situations are frequently present.
Working Conditions: Work performed in the office environment requires normal safety precautions. Work conducted in the field, the risks involve those typical for visitors of the Park, and may include confrontations with wildlife and exposure to the elements. May be exposed to all types of terrain or weather and may be exposed to poison oak or other hazards.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
