    About the Position: The Office of the Army General Counsel is located in the Pentagon, adjacent to the Pentagon Metro Station, and a short walk to Pentagon City Mall, which hosts a myriad of shops and eateries.

    • You will serve as a legal adviser to the General Counsel independently ascertaining relevant factual information, conducting legal research, and preparing written and oral advice, opinions, recommendations and legal memoranda.
    • Provide oral and written advice and technical legal guidance to key officials and to subordinate Army organizations concerning all matters relating to proposed revisions of all Army Regulations (ARs) and all other Army publications.
    • Review and analyze for statutory and regulatory compliance, policy actions and transactional matters requiring HQDA-level approval in the areas of acquisition, procurement, and competitive sourcing.
    • Assist the General Counsel in representing Army equities, providing advice, and making recommendations and decisions as to the propriety, legality, desirability, and feasibility of proposed actions.
    • Represent the General Counsel in meetings with DoD, other military departments, Federal agencies, Congressional members and staff, and members of the general public.
    • Make recommendations as to the propriety, legality, desirability, and feasibility of proposed actions related to Government ethics.
