This position is located in the Transcription Section of the Administrative Branch of the Court Reporting and Recording Division. The purpose of the position is to proofread the transcripts that are prepared by the contracted agency to ensure that all transcripts are accurate.

The Proofreader responsibilities include the following:

To meet minimum qualifications, you must have a High School Diploma or GED certificate, plus two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience. You MUST provide documentation of education or your application will not be considered.

To qualify based on education, applicants must upload a legible copy of an official or non-official transcript or degree to verify your education at the time of application. The transcript must contain the following information: 1) school name, 2) student name, 3) area of study, 4) the list of courses with credit hours and 5) cumulative GPA or class ranking. If selected following your initial application, you will be required to provide an official transcript before the start of your assignment.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
