    This position is located in the Agricultural Research Service, Center for Grain & Animal Health Research, Hard Winter Wheat and Genetics Research Unit in Manhattan, KS.

    This position will support a Research Entomologist conducting research on physiology of parasitism and host resistance to Hessian fly in wheat.

    Major Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Collect, prepare, evaluate, and verify plant or insect samples and supporting records. 
    • Participate in one or more phases of research process by performing a variety of complex technical duties, in a laboratory and greenhouse environment, common to the research of plants and insects. 
    • Maintain, calibrate, and modify complex, specialized equipment and automated systems used for test and evaluation procedures.
    • Tabulate, statistically analyze, and summarize data using personal computers and software packages.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required.
