    This position is located in the Training Division of the Office for Overseas Programming and Training Support (OPATS). The purpose of OPATS is to support programming, training and evaluation staff at overseas posts to best position Volunteers for successful service. OPATS partners with and directly supports the Peace Corps three regional offices (Regions) Africa; Europe, Mediterranean and Asia; and Inter-America and the Pacific.

    The Supervisory Training Specialist performs the following major duties:

    • Provides extensive planning and organization, analyses of accumulated data and information, and considerable coordination and integration with other functional activities.
    • Researches and analyzes newest technical training methodologies, materials and tools (including e-learning materials).
    • Reviews, advises on, and conducts complex analyses, evaluations, or investigations in support of organizational programs, systems, and processes.
    • Plans and conducts experimental analyses that result in new design guidelines, and have an effect on program or mission capabilities and/or operating procedures.
    • Supervises at least two employees. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing their work in the Office for Overseas Programming and Training Support
    • Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
