About the Position:
As a Lock and Dam Operator at a USACE navigation facility, you will operate electrically and/or hydraulically-controlled lock or lock and dam gates, control valves, and other associated equipment required for passage of a variety of private and commercial traffic through the lock structure and the maintenance of required pool levels.

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, is actively seeking applications to fill multiple Lock and Dam Operator vacancies throughout the District. These positions will be filled the WY-05; WY-07; or WY-08 grade levels. Due to strict IMTS certifications applicants may only be considered for the entry grade level of WY-05 if you have not previously held a full performance Lock and Dam Operator WY-5426-08 or previously competed for a same like permanent position.
The initial cut-off for referral consideration is 15 October, 2018; applications received by this date will have the first opportunity for review. Applications received after this date will be considered as additional vacancies become available.
Period of Eligibility: Your application will remain active for three (3) months from the date it is received.
