The Kansas City VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician. The incumbent will carry an appropriate clinical workload, take part in continuing medical education (as defined by licensure), and will be involved with quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

As a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Physician, you will provide nonsurgical spine care, including diagnosing disorders and coordinating rehabilitation to 10-12 patients a day in an outpatient setting.
Specifically, duties include:
Diagnose and treat pain as a result of an injury, illness, or disabling condition
Determine and lead a treatment/prevention plan
Work with a team of medical professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physician extenders to optimize patient care
Work with other physicians, which may include primary care physicians, neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and many others.
Treat the whole person, not just the problem area
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; no call requirement
