    Summary

    This position is in the International and Business Systems Office within the Technology Division of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Incumbent is an Information Technology Project Manager who leads highly technical project teams comprised of IT staff, technical contract personnel, and business stakeholders in support of mission critical IT projects and/or programs which are focused on both public and non-public web systems.

    Responsibilities

    The International and Business Office focuses primarily on the processes that support international information exchange, as well as internal business needs, leveraging IT methodologies to develop, design, test, implement, and maintain solutions for our foreign partners, FinCEN staff, the public, as well as coordination with Treasury-hosted systems. Solutions include, but are not limited to, Egmont Secure Web, FinCEN.gov, and the intranet. Technologies implemented include Drupal, HTML, Adobe Forms, Liferay, Sharepoint, and various web technologies. At the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are at the forefront in preventing and detecting terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime. Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.

    Security Clearance: This position has been designated National Security Level IV, Special Sensitive and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. Applicant must meet and continue to adhere to the requirements of a Tier 5 level background investigation. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination. Continued employment with FinCEN is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the Tier 5 level background investigation, the results of which fully meet the FinCEN's special employment criteria. All employees are subject to satisfactory completion of periodic reinvestigation and a continuing life style in conformity with applicable national and FinCEN directives. Any unfavorable information developed during an investigation or other official inquiry may result in termination of employment in accordance with established security policies and procedures.

     

    As an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager, you will:

    • Serve as an authoritative source to lead project teams of IT staff, business stakeholders, and highly technical contract personnel in coordinating and conducting a variety of complex information technology activities.
    • Communicate project tasks, deadlines and time frames; identify priorities and project/team interdependencies; coordinate assignments; set expectations; provide guidance and training to team members;
    • Serve as a source of expertise for planning, developing, and implementing programs to accomplish important mission objectives.
    • Direct progress reviews of the implementation of and/or ongoing conduct of program activities.
