The Office of Facilities is responsible for providing building, fleet, and space management services to support the mission requirements of CSOSA. Develops planning documents from the research, survey and analysis of principles and practices of architecture, construction, engineering, and facilities management as it relates to planning practices for the CSOSA agency. Utilizes the standard practices of planning in compliance with local codes, executive orders, ADA - American with Disabilities Act and Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities.
Follows applicable laws and regulations in performing space planning and design layout. Performs functions such as gathering data, inspecting allotted locations, developing layout plans, and coordinating the implementation of layout work. Will be utilizing planning software such as AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD Revit. Works with standard planning software such as FM Systems, Inc., FM Interact or other space planning software.
Plans and manages projects from the concept development stage through implementation and management. Identifies requirements, develops technical and administrative approaches, and coordinates project resources, including project costs, human resources, scheduled completion timeframes, etc.
A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation, drug testing, and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

BASIS OF RATING: Your application will be rated under Category Rating Procedures and be placed in one of three categories: Highly Qualified (highly proficient with an overall comprehensive level of knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job based on a complete review of experience, education and training), Well Qualified (competent in the position with an overall accomplished level of knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job based on a complete review of experience, education and training), or Qualified (an overall basic level of knowledge, skills and abilities of the job based on a complete review of your experience, education and training). With the exception of positions which are professional and scientific at the GS-09 (or equivalent) and above, qualified preference eligibles with a compensable service-connected disability of 30-percent or more (CPS) and those with a compensable service-connected disability of at least 10-percent but less than 30-percent (CP) move from the category in which they would otherwise be placed to the top of the highest quality category.
