As General Counsel, you will be responsible for advising the Corporation's Board and staff on all legal matters of concern to the Corporation. You will direct and control all legal activities and related work products and play a key role in carrying out FCSIC's mission to protect investors in insured Farm Credit System obligations.
Salary will include 25.86% locality pay for McLean, VA. FCSIC uses the Farm Credit Administration pay scale; salaries are subject to $243,500/year cap on base pay.

FCSIC is an independent U.S. Government-controlled corporation. FCSIC's primary purpose is to insure the timely payment of principal and interest on insured debt obligations issued on behalf of System banks. The System is a nationwide Government-sponsored enterprise of privately owned banks and affiliated associations that serve agricultural borrowers and rural communities. The System banks issue insured debt securities to finance the System's loans, leases and operations. By protecting investors who purchase the insured debt, FCSIC helps to maintain a dependable source of funds for the farmers, ranchers, and other borrowers of the System.
