As a Student Trainee, you will work with higher graded staff in support of office programs and activities to gain practical work experience that augments training in an academic course of study.
Specific responsibilities include:

The OIG is a statutorily created independent entity whose mission is to deter and detect waste, fraud, abuse and misconduct in DOJ programs and personnel, and to promote economy and efficiency in those programs. The Inspector General (IG) is appointed by the President subject to Senate confirmation, reports to the Attorney General and Congress. The OIG investigates alleged violations of criminal and civil laws by DOJ employees and also audits and inspects DOJ programs.
This excepted service position is being filled under the provisions of the Pathways Internship Program which is designed to provide students enrolled in educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with paid work opportunities.
