    • The position involves design of structural engineering features of work relating to civil and military projects, as well as coordination and direction of the work of others in the accomplishment of project assignments.
    • This design work includes such features for military installations as barracks, dormitories, hospitals, family housing units, shops, large structural steel hangers, chapels, water tanks, culverts, headwalls, manholes, sewer and water plants, etc.
    • This design work includes such features for civil projects, includes navigation locks, and dams, outlet works for earth dams, conduits, retaining walls, highway and service bridges, tainter gates, overhead cranes, stilling basins, buildings, etc.
    • These structures may involve steel or aluminum design, plain, reinforced, precast or post-tensioned concrete, ground or rock anchors, post, timber, sheet pile or other construction materials.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

    Supervisory status


    Promotion Potential

    12 - May be selected at any grade level with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade. Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
