The Supervisory Program Manager is responsible for selecting, implementing, monitoring and revising cognitive behavior programs as approved by the Deputy Associate Director of the BID. Serves as a source of information and advice on program issues that require assessment of unusual circumstances or variations in approach and development of new methods and criteria. Serves as a mentor and provides guidance to entry-level program managers.
Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Plans, schedules, and assigns work to subordinates. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members; provides feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Provides advice, counsel, and/or instruction to staff members.
Conducts business process analyses and studies. Incorporates findings affecting program operations, such as financial, administrative, and/or quality control processes, into reports, requirements documents, and project or program plans. Reviews technical analyses for completeness, feasibility, and applicability.
Provides advice and guidance when program interpretation, opinion, or decisions are solicited. Consultations involve assessment of program conditions, phenomena, or anomalies. Serves as a source of information and advice on program issues that require assessment of unusual circumstances or variations in approach and development of new methods and criteria. Serves as a mentor and provides guidance to entry-level program managers. Obtains the following therapeutic services as determined by the Treatment Team and specified in the client's Individual Treatment Plan: individual treatment interventions, family interventions, and or group interventions. Maintains frequent contacts with coworkers in the organization to render advice, consultation, and assistance. Participates in planning conferences with supervisory and program managers to provide necessary information pertaining to the program specialty. Possesses knowledge of behavioral health treatment, correct documentation.
Participates in, coordinates, and/or manages agency programs and projects.

Basis of Rating: Your application will be rated under Category Rating Procedures and be placed in one of three categories: Highly Qualified (highly proficient with an overall comprehensive level of knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job based on a complete review of experience, education and training), Well Qualified (competent in the position with an overall accomplished level of knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job based on a complete review of experience, education and training), or Qualified (an overall basic level of knowledge, skills and abilities of the job based on a complete review of your experience, education and training). With the exception of positions which are professional and scientific at the GS-09 (or equivalent) and above, qualified preference eligibles with a compensable service-connected disability of 30-percent or more (CPS) and those with a compensable service-connected disability of at least 10-percent but less than 30-percent (CP) move from the category in which they would otherwise be placed to the top of the highest quality category.
