Schedules, coordinates, and prepares environmental compliance (EIS, EA, FONSI, CE) and commitment documents for complex YAO projects with substantial funding allocations covering wide geographical areas which require major expenditure of time and effort for completion.
Reviews and evaluates program progress to ensure overall program is meeting planned environmental objectives.
Works with inter-agency committees in preparing plans to enhance the Lower Colorado River environmentally.
Conducts field and literature surveys required for the preparation of environmental documents.
Prepares biological assessments as required in Section 7 or the Endangered Species Act. Prepares Section 401 and Section 404 permit application packages to support Clean Water Act compliance.
Coordinates with Regional Archeologist to support National Historic Preservation Act and consults on applicable projects.

GS-11: In order to qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must possess a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 years of higher level graduate education leading to a degree or LLM, if related OR your resume must reflect one year of full time experience preparing environmental compliance documents and performing biological assessments.
GS-09: In order to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, you must possess a masters or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 years of higher level graduate education leading to a degree or LLB or JD, if related OR your resume must reflect one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-07 level preparing environmental compliance documents or performing biological assessments.
