    About the Position: This is a term appointment and it may be extended up to a total of 6 years. Contingent to specific conditions there may be an opportunity to be noncompetitively converted to a career-conditional or career appointment.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the acquisition management specialist and programmatic subject-matter expert for the U.S. Army PEO Soldier, PM, PM SPIE.
    • Provides acquisition related advice, guidance and assistance to the PM SPIE and it?s subordinate PM elements for acquisition functions involving highly specialized procurement programs and projcets.
    • Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a program and project with a mission of development, acquisition, testing, integration , production and fielding.
    • Works with PM and assigned Contracting Officer(s) to implement acquisition strategy, initiate plan, develop and establishes the overall acquisition program for the PM.
    • Serves as the technical liaison between the contractors and the Contracting Officer.
