    About the Position: This is a term appointment and it may be extended up to a total of 6 years. Contingent to specific conditions there may be an opportunity to be noncompetitively converted to a career-conditional or career appointment.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the Operations Manager and primary advisor to the PEO Soldier, Project Manager, Soldier Protection and Individual Equipment (PM SPIE).
    • Assist the PM SPIE in the program planning, prioritization and integration of research, development, testing, quality assurance, production, fielding and sustainment of a wide range of individual equipment items.
    • Provides senior level management an oversight in the areas of: PM SPIE-TMD business/office operations and management, mission support planning, project planning execution, budget planning, communications, organizational plans and policies.
    • Interface and coordinate with organizations and activities such as the Office of Secretary of Defense, U.S. Army Test Command, U.S. Army PEO Soldier, Joint Trauma and Prevention of Injury in Combat, and other government and non-government agencies.

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
