    This position is located within the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP); Associate Director – Quality; Office of Quality Engineering and Management and reports to the Deputy Associate Director (Quality). The mission of the Office of Quality Engineering & Management is to develop and implement quality assurance practices to foster continuous improvement in engineering and production processes and procedures for currency and other security products manufactured by BEP.

    As the Chief, you will:

    • Plan, direct, control, and supervise the Office of Quality Engineering & Management staff;
    • Serve as the Alternative Management Representative for the BEP Quality Management System (QMS) and lead BEP’s product quality assurance and improvement programs;

    • Represent BEP as the “Voice of the Customer” to ensure design and manufacturing processes / methodology conform to customer requirements;

    • Formulate and maintain quality standard objectives that are complementary to BEP policies and goals. Lead BEP teams in the resolution of material and production issues that have an impact on product quality and performance, whether identified internally or received from external complaints of customer(s) or stake holders;

    • Plan, direct, and coordinate BEP activities associated with the development and implementation of quality assurance programs and practices as they relate to processes and procedures attendant to the production of currency, and other security documents.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overnight travel may be required 3-4 times per year.
