    The Cardiologist is Board Certified/Board eligible & manages disorders of the heart. The field includes medical diagnosis & treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease with competencies including cardiology consultation, ECG, Holter interpretation, cardiac Catheterization and/or pacemaker implantation (preferred), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), & cardioversions. Exercise Stress Testing & Transthoracic Echocardiogram interpretation.

    In addition, the cardiologist will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with cardiac diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques. You will provide services such as outpatient examinations, consultation services related to cardiology, management of patients with current treatment regiment, and admission status as necessary.

    You will be required to maintain BLS certification and ACLS. You will attend cardiology team meetings, Medicine Service meetings, and meetings with other medical center staff. You may be asked to serve on committees, participate in quality assurance programs, assist our facility to meet established performance measures in the area of cardiology, and such other duties as assigned by the Chief of Staff or the Director. You will perform chart reviews and coordinate with Hospitalist regarding patient care issues. You will be responsible to document patient care data in electronic medical records such as history and physical exams within 24 hours; encounters for outpatients; consult notes; and, enter new and renewal of prescriptions.

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
